ARTIST PROFILE
TONY DUQUETTE
Decorative-art titan Tony Duquette was an unabashed maximalist who applied his from-the-gut touch to everything from rapturous interiors for billionaire clients such as Doris Duke, J. Paul Getty, and David O. Selznick, to bold jewelry, to museum exhibitions at the likes of the Louvre.
Hutton Wilkinson, Duquette’s pupil, protege and lifetime collaborator, worked with the design genius since the 70’s. The acolyte turned master, who learned the craft at Duquette’s side, has grown his legacy not only by continuing to design incredible works of art into jewelry and exquisite interiors but most recently by publishing numerous books and launching a lavish home furnishings collection everyone is talking about!
Tony Duquette’s partner and protégé continues to elevate the designer’s legacy to greater and greater heights each day. Jewelry designer, author and interior design dream weaver, Hutton Wilkinson, is a creative force behind the Duquette brand.
